Sports hall & facilities

A Games Hall complex is planned for opening in August 2009. This major project is designed to complete the main programme of development on sports facilities that has recently seen the acquisition of a new rugby field and the construction of the astro-turf pitches, multigym and floodlit astro-turf hockey pitch. It is aimed at ensuring, not only that the quality of our provision in this area matches that of our accommodation elsewhere, but also provides indoor and all-weather facilities to guarantee year-round utilisation. In addition, a prime aim is to provide resources that can lead to a greater range of sports and activities than we can currently cater for. The main elements of the project are: games hall, dance studio, multi-gym, classroom/meeting room, changing rooms, astro-turf hockey/football pitch, kitchen/social space, car park and climbing wall.
