Message Board

Lomond is keen to maintain contact with all those who have had a connection with the school in the past and who may want to have a connection with the school in the future. The school has recently re-launched the association for Former pupils to extend to former parents and indeed former teachers.

The new organisation is called The Lomond School Association. Membership is free and open to all who have attended Larchfield, St Brides or Lomond Schools. It is also open to former teachers and parents.  The main communication vehicle for this organisation in its infancy will be a group on the social networking site Facebook. To join Facebook simply register at www.facebook.com. Once registered search for the Lomond School Association and apply to join. Via this site you will receive information about planned activities and hopefully be able to catch up with class mates. Eventually the aim of the Association will be to translate the membership of the Facebook group into a proper stand alone web presence.

The LSA will be responsible for organising reunions, sports fixtures and other events. Please use the email address lomondfriends@lomond-school.org to contact the Secretary, Calum Sweeney.

Email Symbol I left Lomond in 1988 & I have loads of happy memories from school. I keep in regular contact with Gill (Risk), Amanda (Whitelaw), Elaine Sinclair and of course Philip Watkins! I work as a contractor in the IT industry (currently for Microsoft) but my biggest passion is for Rowing - I'm Captain of Reading Rowing Club for the 2nd year running - last year won National Club Championship in the Women's 8+s - this year I will be mostly sculling!! be lovely to catch up with anyone from my school years! x

Email Symbol hey, long time since i have been on here. Nice to hear so many of you have finished Uni. Currently working & living still in Bournemouth, as an investment advisor, selling & buying stocks & shares on the London Mayfair stock exchange. Thanks god for calculators as i was terrible a maths. Strangest thing happened this week to make me look on here. Saw Sian Louise in Tescos in sunny Bournemouth, which is miles away from home. Just shows you, you can bump into your classmates the most uunsual & unexpected places. Take care x
