Transitus

Transitus is our unique step between the middle stages of Primary to fully blown secondary status.

Whilst Mr Calder oversees the children's progress, the day-to-day running of the department is carried out by Mrs Janice Brown. In Transitus 1 the major change is physical as the children are taught for almost all of their time by a single class teacher but are in modern purpose built classrooms in the St. Bride's building.

Transitus 2 is a big change for our children as they begin to move more often between different specialist teachers for their lessons whilst being taught the core subjects of Mathematics and English Language by Mrs Brown.

It has been our experience that the 'middle school' of Transitus has made for a much smoother transition to secondary for those children coming from Lomond Primary.
