Distance Learning

We offer a number of distance learning courses involving a weekly tutorial via a video-conferencing link. The tutors and course are managed by Nelson Thornes Distance Learning. Psychology GCSE and Spanish GCSE are offered to S6 and Latin GCSE is offered as an extra subject to a group of S4 pupils. All three subjects are completed as a crash course within a year. Whilst learning a new subject, the students develop skills in independent learning, having to cover much of the course material on their own, and e-mailing their assignments to the tutor.
