Distance Learning

Over recent years we have offered a number of distance learning courses involving a weekly tutorial via a video-conferencing link. The tutors and course are managed by Nelson Thornes Distance Learning. We currently offer Latin GCSE via this medium as an extra subject to a group of S4 pupils. The subject is completed as a crash course within a year. Whilst learning a new subject, the students develop skills in independent learning, having to cover much of the course material on their own, and e-mailing their assignments to the tutor.
