Expeditions

Normally, a dozen or more expeditions and major trips take place on an annual basis, e.g:

• Canadian canoeing wilderness expedition's to the NWT of Canada or Norway/Sweden
• 'World Challenge' trips to India and Tanzania; major sports tours to South Africa or Italy
• history trip to Russia
• geography trip to the USA

At a slightly smaller scale are:

• Moroccan walking trips in the Atlas mountains
• Language trip to Nice
• skiing holiday in Italy
• German exchange
• Berlin cultural visit
• York trip
• Outward Bound leadership and teamwork course
• transitus camp

Throughout these ventures the opportunities to maximize the personal development of individuals is given significant emphasis and a substantial majority of senior pupils take part in these experiences on an annual basis. Encouragement is given to self fund where it is appropriate to do so.
