Sports tours

These are an annual feature and can vary from major tours to places like South Africa (2007) involving hockey and rugby players playing fixtures and visiting sights like Robben Island, to European destinations such as Italy or more locally to the North of England (Cricket) or to the Borders (rugby). As with our expeditions the timing is designed to fit in with school holidays and parents are given good notice in advance so that proper planning and budgeting can be conducted. Staffing is at a high teacher: pupil level and the broadening of experience is regarded as a major objective as is the development of teamwork, leadership and initiative.
